Has your polling place moved? More on that next. Local Mississippi Officials Have Made 138 Polling Place Changes Ahead of the 2026 Election according to the Mississippi Free Press. There is a MS Law from 2025 that polling places can’t change less than 60 days before an election. Click on the My Election Day button on the Secretary of State’s Y’all vote dot ms site to double check where you are assigned to vote and look up your own Sample Ballot after you put in your address so you’ll be prepared on Tuesday, November 3rd – Election Day.Do you know the difference between absentee and affidavit? You may vote absentee in person from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m today and tomorrow and 8am to noon Saturday, October 31stat your circuit clerk’s office.Once your ballot is scanned, you have completed the in-person absentee process, and your ballot will be counted on the night of the election, after the polls have closed.Voters are required to show photo identification at the polls. A voter without an acceptable form of photo identification is entitled to cast an affidavit ballot. There were some issues reported on the validity of the voter registration information given out – but y’all need to check for yourself. You can type in your zip code and street address and get your sample ballot. I bet you’ll see more races than you thought. We’re past the voter registration deadline, but you can check to see if they have your correct information so’ll you’ll be prepared when you go to the polls on November 3rd. Remember – if you get to the polls and something is wrong – you don’t have your ID, you are listed as registered, ASK to CAST a affidavit ballot – then you can get it all straighten out later.How about a signed copy of the book and listen to the author do a reading?
